Meet Matthew & Tina! This is the highlight video from their wedding back in September. Matthew is a friend I network with which made the day even more special. I got to work with Sarah Pfeiffer Photography, another good friend, and I am always amazed by her talent! You can see the tease photos on her blog here. They had a gorgeous day and decided to take photos at the Capitol which turned out awesome. Breakaway rocked the reception and the whole night was a great time! Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Trash The Dress Ideas

I posted a Trash the Dress link in October, when I filmed Sunny from Shane & Sunny Photography playing in the mud in her dress, but I never got a chance to post the photos from it - so below are some that I pulled from her blog. I was reminded today when I came across an awesome TTD website and wanted to share it with you. TrashTheDress.com is FULL of TTD ideas - from real brides, real photographers, with real ideas. I was absolutely blown away by most of the photos and was amazed at the creativity and talent displayed on this site - just wanted to pass it along! Enjoy!

Night To Remember

On Dec. 4, The Event Planner by Echo Publications chose 12 lucky couples to get pampered at Castle Barrett in Omaha - hair, tuxes, limo ride, dinner - the works! There were also vendors from all the major wedding categories to help the couples with any areas they may still need to plan on their big day. We had the honor of providing our DJ services for background music during dinner, bride and groom introductions, and ballroom dance lessons. At the very end, the couples played the "Nearly Wed" game, a spinoff of the Newlywed Game for a chance to win an all inclusive honeymoon. I filmed the Night To be Remembered and here are the highlights from the evening. My friend Char at Charlene's Bridal and Event Rentals provided the table decorations and the chair covers - it was a blast!

Heuer Wedding!

I had a very special wedding last weekend in Kansas - our friends Becky and Dustin finally tied the knot! The ceremony was in a beautiful church in Hanover with the reception following at the Legion in Marysville. These two complement each other so well and their love was radiating whenever they were together. The reception was a great party, with Karaoke that was a huge hit. I was honored to capture all their special moments on video and below are the highlights from their big day - ENJOY!

Save The Dates

I'm helping Rachel & Jordan plan their May 2009 wedding and we've been busy working and finding fun, creative things - I just thought I would share an update of a cute Save The Date Magnet they are sending out. Rachel found them at Magnet Street and what a deal! It lets you design your own, then it provides you with an online proof for you to approve - the cost is super reasonable and it even includes custom envelopes! She had a great experience with them and wanted to pass it along to anyone looking for a reasonably priced creative Save the Date magnet!

Junkyard Bride!

On Monday I went out to film a bridal portrait session that had a twist - we shot it in a junkyard! My photographer friend Corey Rourke had a bride that wanted to do something different, and it was such a blast. His images are below and the video highlights will be coming soon so be sure to check back! I also want to give props to those people involved in the shoot - Petal Creations for the bouquets, Tasha with Serenity Salon and Spa for doing her hair and makeup, and Corey Rourke for the photos - I had a blast, thanks everyone!

Trash The Dress!

I had an awesome opportunity this week for a Trash the Dress video! Shane and Sunny Dwyer of Shane and Sunny Photography (formally MDP/Dwyer) found the mud and planned the day. Their bride from last Saturday was more than willing to take her dress on a mud spree and so was Sunny - watch the girls trash their dress while Shane snaps away!

Wedding MBA

I'm in Phoenix this entire week attending a conference by the name of Wedding Merchant Business Academy. 300+ vendors from across the world are here listening to speakers such at Jennifer Fallon, CEO of Kate Aspen Favors, Alan Berg, Vice Pres of theknot, Christine Thomas, President of AboutWeddings, and Peter Merry, Past President of the American DJ Association. This is our first time attending the conference and it has been a great way to network and see what other vendors around the world are doing to improve their business. Melissa & Randy

August 9, 2008 was a big day for weddings this year - and we were honored to provide our DJ and Videography services for Melissa and Randy James. The wedding was in Hickman, NE - it was a new church for us and I love seeing new locations! Following the ceremony, the group traveled to The Grata to get a jumpstart on the reception and had a fun photo op outside. We then headed to Courtside Banquet Hall where they threw an amazing party with a Halloween theme (when Randy & Melissa first met!). I met an awesome photographer, Becky with Blue Skies Photography out of Daykin, NE and we had a blast the whole night. The highlights are below - thank you, Randy & Melissa, and congratulations!

2008 Tuition Mission

We took a break from weddings this week to help with the KFRX Tuition Mission 2008 and it has a been a blast! If you haven't been following along, you can see all the videos/photos and information at the KFRX website. If you aren't familiar with the challenge, KFRX selected 20 students to live on a school bus for a week, parked behind the Union on City Campus. They have to stay on the bus 24 hours a day, unless they are doing challenges or eating lunch - they also get one 15 minute bathroom break every 2 hours. KFRX takes everything they bring with them, and they are only allowed the clothes on their back while on the bus. The days begin at 6am with Army wakeup and bus inspection, then the challenges ensue. It continues until 10pm when they are finally allowed to sleep. Whoever can survive the challenges and stay on the bus until Saturday will win free tuition and books for a year, up to $10,000. It has been a great time hanging with the staff and DJs from KFRX and we look forward to helping them again! You can check out everything from the bus here! James & Liz

On June 28, 2008 we were honored to Video the wedding of James & Liz. They had a small intimate ceremony at the Apothecary with just their close family and friends. It was the first time I got to work with Elli from Studio E and she took everyone outside on an awesome photo shoot! I had a lot of fun - enjoy their highlights and Elli's photos from their day!

Kyle & Michele

Kyle & Michele were married last weekend on August 2, 2008. Their wedding was absolutely amazing - they have the best story and every little detail was tied into the first time they met. The reception was held at the Sesostris Shrine Center on Hwy 77 & Saltillo Rd, where they first met at her Dad's John Deere Auction. They had the same auctioneer for the garter auction, their first date was listening to BreakAway band and they were providing the music that night - Kyle even changed into the clothes he was wearing that first day they met and came out to surprise her during the garter auction. It was awesome! I was there taping from the hair salon through the bouquet and garter - it's going to be an awesome video. I also got to work with Elli from Studio E Photography - she is so amazingly talented and I enjoyed working with her and Tannon. Her pictures are below, along with their video highlights and a piece of their Love Story video that was played for guests at their reception.

Ryan & Brianne

This is a video from back in December, but I thought it would be fun to dig in the archives and post something old! My friend Erin with Erin Stoll Photography was there taking the pictures, setting the couple in fun poses that made for great footage! We only spent time with them at the church, but we still had a great time - check it out!

Josh & Cindy

Here is one of the slideshow videos we have been working on for August 9, 2008. Sarah with Pfeiffer Photography took the photographs on their wedding day and was gracious enough to provide us with some of their engagment photos for their video. Zack & Leanne

The day started out sunny and warm on 6/7/08 when we arrived at our first wedding. It was an indoor ceremony at Southwood Lutheran, a brand new beautiful church on 40th & Yankee Hill road. We found both Zack and Leanne waiting anxiously for the ceremony to begin. It was over before we knew it, and everyone greeted them outside the church. We then met up at Hillcrest Country Club (one of my favorite venues!) to take a few pictures outside, then they headed in to party! We also had the priviledge of DJing their dance and Kurtis kept the place rockin'! Check out the highlights below, and congratulations to both of you!

Todd & Jennifer

A gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple... Todd and Jennifer wed on May 31, 2008. These two are so in love! They had a small intimate ceremony in Todd's backyard on Wilderness Ridge with their close family and friends, followed by pictures and an amazing reception at Yankee Hill Country Club. We enjoyed working with Brad Carlson from Out Loud DJ & Karaoke and he made sure everyone had a great time. Mitch Otto Photo captured the pictures, and you can view the gallery here. Travis & Abby

Abby & Travis tied the knot on April 18 in Wahoo, NE and then had a beautiful reception in Westin. Everything felt straight from a movie - her gorgeous dress and white gloves, the cake with layers of flowers, and the amazing decor inside the Ponderosa Opry House. We were honored to provide our DJ and Video services for their special day - the dance floor was rocking all night long and we got it all on film. Staci & Shane

What a special wedding! On Friday May 30, my cousin Staci married Shane Anderson in a gorgeous wedding in Norfolk, NE - I was so honored to be chosen as a bridesmaid! Our team provided the videography and storybook services and everything went without a hitch. We took lots of great pictures before the ceremony and even had time to shoot a few hoops in the Norfolk Catholic gym... it was a blast! The reception hall was decorated beautiful and it was a packed house - everyone stayed until the very end and we all had such a great time. Thank you Shane and Staci, and here are a few clips from your big day!

Todd & Bonnie

We had a very special wedding on the weekend of May 17, 2008 - Todd & Bonnie Buresh tied the knot! Todd is Chad's cousin, and everyone was so excited to welcome Bonnie into the family. It was a country themed wedding in the small towns of Dwight and Bee, Nebraska, but don't let that size fool you - it was a huge party! We took a big red school bus to a small town bar and street dance before ending up in the Bee Ballroom. We all had such a great time - I'll post their highlights below. Congratulations you two - Enjoy!

Daniel & Jill's Wedding

On May 2, we got to film Jill & Daniel while they exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony. The weather wasn't as warm as she'd hoped, but it cooperated and stayed mostly dry! The ceremony at Wilderness Ridge was a beautiful choice and the golf cart ride up the hill was a nice touch :) We loved working with Matt Elwood from Elwood Photography again, and love the pictures he supplied below! Anniversary Video

I'm currently working on a 50th Wedding Anniversary video - 50 years, how inspiring! They are a large family who loves to spend time and travel together, which leads to lots of great pictures! This video will be a keepsake for everyone in the family for years to come. Their children are doing a great job getting everything together I'll post a sneak peek of it under this message! Anyway, keep checking back, I will have the lastest highlight videos from our May weddings coming up soon!

Dana & Wylie Are Married!

We had the pleasure of providing our DJ & Videography services at Dana and Wylie's wedding on April 19, 2008. Dana looked absolutely stunning and the two of them were glowing the entire day. (You can see it in the movie, how cute!) They chose the most beautiful spring colors and ended up with the perfect day. We were excited to work with Matt from Elwood Photography and had such a great time - we've posted some of his final pics below! Dana and Wylie also had a unique idea for their wedding party dance - the video will be posted below - it turned out great! We hope you two had a great day and we wish you the best in your future!
