Outdoor Proposal!

Wow, can we say magic moment? This was SOOO much fun to film! Jeff and Corey have been friends of mine for a while and when Jeff approached me about filming the proposal, I was more than ecstatic! Sarah Pfeiffer and I went to scope out the location and put some plans in place with Jeff. We waited outside at James Arthur Vineyards until we saw them walk out and captured it all from the bushes.. what an emotional moment! Check out the video below and I can't wait to see the photos from Sarah!

From the Groom..
"This is the best video I've ever had in my life.. I can't tell you how perfect it is! You really captured one of the happiest moments in our life together, she is still on Cloud 9. Thank you sooo much! It turned out perfect and I couldn't have done it without you and Sarah. I cry every time I watch it!"

Midwest Bridal Association

For those couples that are not familiar, the Midwest Bridal Association is an organization that was established as a way to classify the best of the best Wedding Vendors in the Midwest. To be accepted, a vendor must first submit an application with references that goes in front of a panel, which then decides whether the vendor's reputation and history are up to Association's standards. Judging criteria includes amount of time in business, reputation with brides and other vendors, and customer service. Couples can spot these vendors on the Midwest Bridal Associations website or by seeing the MBA logo on advertisements by the vendors or prominentely displayed on their website or in their offices. We are proud to announce that A Sound Impression was a recent inductee into the Midwest Bridal Association!

Leah & Simeon

Hottest new wedding colors? Orange and Blue of course! And our photographer friend Leah Lund ROCKED them at her wedding on October 3 and were there to catch every moment! She was blessed with a beautiful day as she tied the knot after seven years together with her boyfriend Simeon.. what a magical day! They threw a huge party at the Grand Manse in the Jasmine Room that was gorgeously decorated by my friend (and the uber-talented) Stacy with Petal Creations. You can see some of her gorgeous images from her photographer friend becker on his blog and read about her point of view on Leah's blog. It was a fabulous day and we know she enjoyed every moment of it!

Chris & Tara

What a blast these two were! Chris and Tara are big Husker fans.. and instead of getting married on a Game Day, they chose a gorgeous Friday in mid September and couldn't have gotten more perfect weather. Huskers were woven in throughout their day.. Tara had fun red heels on under her dress and Chris and his groomsmen wore Husker plaid socks under their tuxes.. how cute! They were married at First Plymouth church with their reception following at Nebraska Champions Club next to the stadium. We loved working with Khara from Kabloom Studios - her work was amazing, from our trek around downtown to photos at the stadium. Their highlights are below.. enjoy!

Beth & Michael

I adored these two! They were married in Omaha on what turned out to be one of the nicest days weather-wise we've had all year.. how lucky! It was our first time working with Douglas Gunder photography and we can't wait to see how his photos turned out. Thank you Beth & Michael for allowing us to capture your wedding day.. we definitely had a blast! :)

Vernon & Sally

What a wedding day this was! We had an absolute blast with Sally & Vernon, plus many of our favorite vendors! They had a very unique and fun ceremony, with Vernon's brother performing a rap in the middle and the flower girls racing down the aisle. We took a limo to Wilderness Ridge fountains for photos, then into the lodge for a reception. Sally's son called from overseas in the middle of dinner with a toast we played over the speakers.. you could feel the emotion in the room! Her wedding coordinator, Sara Brown with Bella Signature Events kept the day on track and solving any problems that arose. Her photographer, Jamy Sullivan captured it all on film. The night had a few small set backs, but we made it through okay and what a party it was! Below is their choreographed first dance.. soon to be accompanied by their wedding day highlights. Enjoy!

Jim & Julie

Congratulations Jim and Julie! They were married last weekend at a beautiful church in Cortland, which was our first time filming out there. They were blessed with a beautiful day and a perfect ceremony.. the bridesmaids and Julie all wore red heels with their dresses and the entire wedding party had similiar sunglass to wear.. how fun! Their limo stopped at Grata for a few drinks before the reception at the Cornhusker in Downtown Lincoln. We got the chance to work with a lot of great vendors, including Patrick from the Cornhusker, Ginger from Atlantis Salon & Spa, Stacy with Petal Creations and Frank with Ekeler Photography. This was our first time working together with Frank and we were very excited about it - he did a fantastic job and we can't wait to see some images! Their highlights are below.. check them out!

Elwood Photography

As a professional in this wedding industry, I get the opportunity to work with many different vendors at each wedding and it's always a breath of fresh air to find one who is outstanding at their job. We've gotten the chance to work with Matt Elwood from Elwood Photography at many weddings this past summer and it's been a blast every time. He is an absolutely fabulous photographer to work with - his work is stunning and he's so much fun to be around! We've partnered with him to offer a 10% discount off BOTH your photography package AND your DJ or Video when you book with both of us for your wedding.. that's how much we love working together! I'm posting some of his images below.. check them out!
