Sam & Shauna

Our second wedding of the weekend was nothing short of amazing. Sam & Shauna came to us over a year ago to talk about video for their wedding and we were so blessed to be able to be a part of their special day! I got to know them during the Love Story video we created for them telling their story of how they met, how Sam proposed, etc. It was so adorable and will be an beautiful keepsake for them for years! A short clip of it is posted below. We then accompanied them on their wedding day and got to experience the amazing love these two have for each other. We were excited to work with Frank Ekeler with Ekeler Photography and his images can be seen here. Love Story

Bailey & Evan

Words can't even begin to describe Bailey and Evan's wedding day. After a beautifully emotional ceremony outside at the barns at Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, we moved inside the barns for a reception staged right out of Martha Stewart magazine. Petal Creations provided a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony and all the reception decor - everything looked amazing! Bailey and Evan kicked things the night off right with a unique twist on one of their dances.. Jeff from Primetime music put together a special music clip for them, and you'll have to tune in below to see what I mean! First their highlights.. the surprise dance coming soon!

Jeff & Corey - Kauai, HI

WOW! That's the only way to describe the wedding from last weekend. We are down in Hawaii right now, on the island of Kauai, and it is absolutely beautiful. Jeff and Corey chose the sand right outside the Waipouli Beach Resort to exchange vows in front of a few close friends and family. We were honored and very excited to be a part of their special day! Below is just a short teaser.. the longer version with the full length vows is on hold for the Lincoln reception at Chez Hay in June. Check it out and let us know what you think! Corner Star Dance

While we still specialize in weddings only, we were asked to flim the dance recital for the Corner Star Dance Studio in Milford, NE last weekend. Our good photographer friend Elli from Studio E Photography sent us the referral, and we decided to help them out. Below is a preview of their final DVD.. it's the finale dance to Thriller, performed by all the dance studio staff members as well as the Milford High School Dance team. It was an amazing dance and I wanted to share! Check it out!:)

2010 Fantasy Wedding Show

Our Fantasy Wedding Show was held last Sunday, April 25 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in downtown Lincoln. It was quite the event, with almost 40 awesome vendors, a super unique runway show courtesy of David's Bridal and Best Styles Formalwear, and tons of prize giveaways! Congrats to the winner of our FREE 5 hour DJ package for her wedding, Elise Alit! Check out the photos below, courtesy of The Leeker's Photography - they turned out great! BRIDES Magazine Helpful Hints

I'm such a sucker for wedding magazines.. I'm always buying them in the grocery line and then filling out the little subscription cards. I swear I read so many I don't know how I keep up some months! I found some really cool information in the latest edition of BRIDES Magazine that I simply must share!

Apparently, 5% of brides purchase more than one gown, and out of that, 2% buy more than two! I'm guessing is this is for the brides with the bigger budget.. I know I'm going to get all the wear out of my ONE dress that I can!

Are you a bride who needs to get organized? Google now has a wedding specific website to help brides keep everything order. They have more than 20 templates for addresses, budgets, photos, music lists, and more!

The Trend of Friday Weddings

Have you heard? Fridays are the NEW Saturdays! More and more brides are choosing to for go the traditional Saturday wedding and opt for something new.. getting married on a Friday! It can definitely have it's advantages.. Most venues will offer discounted rates on Fridays because those days aren't as in demand as Saturdays are. Well we aren't a venue, but we do want to be a part of your Friday wedding! A Sound Impression is offering $100 off any package booked with us that's on a Friday! Patrick & Rae, 3.20.10

These two came to us a few weeks before the wedding as a last minute decision - and we are SO glad they did! We had an absolute blast! I met them at the church while they were both still getting ready, with just enough time to get some shots of Rae seeing her son for the first time that day. When she was ready, we took her downstairs where Patrick was waiting to see her for the first time in her dress. His reaction said "stunning!" and we let them have a few moments together. The ceremony went without a hitch, and soon they were headed towards their Hummer with bubbles swirling around. We stopped at the Capital to take some photos on the steps outside, then headed down to Holiday Inn downtown for their reception. She had the cutest idea to attach charms with ribbons to her cake and have all her bridesmaids pull the ribbons at the same time to receive the charms.. I love seeing new things! Jeff with Primetime Music kept the tunes flowing all night and we got to work with Dave from Richmond Photography - can't wait to see his images! Josh & Mollie

Two words to describe the unique wedding of this amazing couple: green pumas. That's what all the groomsmen wore with their tuxes - what a cute idea! This irish couple loves St. Patrick's Day and chose to have their reception on the weekend of the big parade that happens every year in Omaha to so they can incorporate that into their anniversary. Their wedding and reception were both at the Grand Manse in downtown Lincoln - always a beautiful venue! As always, our DJ had a blast at their reception, jamming out to Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and Passion Pit - can you think of better music for an irish reception?
