Meet Matthew & Tina! This is the highlight video from their wedding back in September. Matthew is a friend I network with which made the day even more special. I got to work with Sarah Pfeiffer Photography, another good friend, and I am always amazed by her talent! You can see the tease photos on her blog here. They had a gorgeous day and decided to take photos at the Capitol which turned out awesome. Breakaway rocked the reception and the whole night was a great time! Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Trash The Dress Ideas

I posted a Trash the Dress link in October, when I filmed Sunny from Shane & Sunny Photography playing in the mud in her dress, but I never got a chance to post the photos from it - so below are some that I pulled from her blog. Night To Remember

On Dec. 4, The Event Planner by Echo Publications chose 12 lucky couples to get pampered at Castle Barrett in Omaha - hair, tuxes, limo ride, dinner - the works! There were also vendors from all the major wedding categories to help the couples with any areas they may still need to plan on their big day. We had the honor of providing our DJ services for background music during dinner, bride and groom introductions, and ballroom dance lessons. At the very end, the couples played the "Nearly Wed" game, a spinoff of the Newlywed Game for a chance to win an all inclusive honeymoon. I filmed the Night To be Remembered and here are the highlights from the evening. My friend Char at Charlene's Bridal and Event Rentals provided the table decorations and the chair covers - it was a blast!

Heuer Wedding!

I had a very special wedding last weekend in Kansas - our friends Becky and Dustin finally tied the knot! The ceremony was in a beautiful church in Hanover with the reception following at the Legion in Marysville. These two complement each other so well and their love was radiating whenever they were together. The reception was a great party, with Karaoke that was a huge hit. I was honored to capture all their special moments on video and below are the highlights from their big day - ENJOY!

Save The Dates

I'm helping Rachel & Jordan plan their May 2009 wedding and we've been busy working and finding fun, creative things - I just thought I would share an update of a cute Save The Date Magnet they are sending out. Rachel found them at Magnet Street and what a deal! It lets you design your own, then it provides you with an online proof for you to approve - the cost is super reasonable and it even includes custom envelopes! She had a great experience with them and wanted to pass it along to anyone looking for a reasonably priced creative Save the Date magnet!

Junkyard Bride!

On Monday I went out to film a bridal portrait session that had a twist - we shot it in a junkyard! My photographer friend Corey Rourke had a bride that wanted to do something different, and it was such a blast. His images are below and the video highlights will be coming soon so be sure to check back! I also want to give props to those people involved in the shoot - Petal Creations for the bouquets, Tasha with Serenity Salon and Spa for doing her hair and makeup, and Corey Rourke for the photos - I had a blast, thanks everyone!

Trash The Dress!

I had an awesome opportunity this week for a Trash the Dress video! Shane and Sunny Dwyer of Shane and Sunny Photography (formally MDP/Dwyer) found the mud and planned the day. Their bride from last Saturday was more than willing to take her dress on a mud spree and so was Sunny - watch the girls trash their dress while Shane snaps away!

Wedding MBA

I'm in Phoenix this entire week attending a conference by the name of Wedding Merchant Business Academy. 300+ vendors from across the world are here listening to speakers such at Jennifer Fallon, CEO of Kate Aspen Favors, Alan Berg, Vice Pres of theknot, Christine Thomas, President of AboutWeddings, and Peter Merry, Past President of the American DJ Association. This is our first time attending the conference and it has been a great way to network and see what other vendors around the world are doing to improve their business. Melissa & Randy

August 9, 2008 was a big day for weddings this year - and we were honored to provide our DJ and Videography services for Melissa and Randy James. The wedding was in Hickman, NE - it was a new church for us and I love seeing new locations! Following the ceremony, the group traveled to The Grata to get a jumpstart on the reception and had a fun photo op outside. We then headed to Courtside Banquet Hall where they threw an amazing party with a Halloween theme (when Randy & Melissa first met!). I met an awesome photographer, Becky with Blue Skies Photography out of Daykin, NE and we had a blast the whole night. The highlights are below - thank you, Randy & Melissa, and congratulations!
